Hand Painted Wooden Lamp with Pin Stripes

This lamp is turned out of lime wood on a lathe in two parts which are joined prior to painting, then the slower process of building up the colours which are painted on the spinning lathe begins and I keep painting until I feel that it has reached a point where the colours sit together harmoniously, for this lamp I turn the lather off and peacefully paint the vertical lines by hand. A wax polish is applied and then it is wired with quality components as described above. The construction of this lamp has been approved by the lighting association.

The painted pin stripes sit on this lamp so perfectly and describe the curves and angles of this lamp, painted in a new colour-way of a khaki green with off whites, soft creams greys and browns, and a slash of cadmium red near the base, but also a bold cadmium red ball. A very elegant base with bare wood save for a pale blue ring of paint with the finest of black lines. Included is a 20cm plain linen shade.

Nickel safety switch lamp holder and approx. 2m of red cable with a black plug.
